Humans are like works of art, like a violin concert, a painting or a sculpture! Black hair, dark eyes and fingers that look like the hammers of a piano! Baroque, Rococo and Renaissance!

There may not be many that are aware of it, but the movie ” Chocolat ” with the charming Juliette Binoche and Johnny Depp is loosely based on a novel of the same name, written by Joanne Harris. I discovered the book on a bookstore in the center of my hometown, in one of those midsummer walks. I entered the store and i started to explore the library, and near the Da Vinci code i saw a small blue book. I didn’t know the author but the concept of chocolate being a deadly sin seemed intriguing. I loved it in an instant, from the first words i read. I was fascinated by the characters and the way Harris unravels the plot! The bad thing was that from all the delicious treats Vianne made, you couldn’t taste anything, but i have to say it was a sweet torment! Read it while you enjoy a cup of coffee and a couple of éclairs from your favourite Patisserie, i definitely recommend it!
